Transport AssistantÂ
Are you organised, proactive and have a good understanding of commercial vehicles? Our client is looking for a Transport Assistant to join their busy transport team, providing essential support to the Transport Manager in ensuring a fleet 20+ vehicles remains compliant, maintained, and operational.Â

Essential RequirementsÂ
Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the company fleet, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant and maintained within standards.

Essential RequirementsÂ
- Full UK driving license with a clean driving record
- Must be aged 25 or over (due to company vehicle insurance requirements)
- Comfortable driving commercial vehiclesÂ

Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the company fleet, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant and maintained within standards.
- Assisting with the management and maintenance of a fleet of 20+ commercial vehicles
- Monitoring vehicle defects & maintenance requirements, diagnosing issues where possible and arranging repairs with approved garages
- Booking routine servicing, MOTs, inspections and maintenance work
- Maintaining accurate vehicle records & uploading all documentation onto Truckfile
- Ensuring fleet compliance documentation is kept up to date
- Driving company vehicles to and from garages, MOT appointments and service centres as requiredÂ
- Assisting with route planning, including organising ad-hoc same-day deliveries when required
The CandidateÂ
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident working within a busy transport environmentÂ
- Previous experience within transport, fleet or vehicle maintenance administrationÂ
- Experience using fleet management systemsÂ
- Excellent communication skills are essentialÂ
The PackageÂ
- Salary of up to £31,000paÂ
- Monday to Friday, 6am – 3pmÂ
- Permanent, full-time opportunityÂ
